After each shower
Remove water from the glass with a clean, soft squeegee, then dry accessible hardware with a soft cloth. This limits the water left to dry on the surface. Follow your bathroom ventilation guidance and keep cleaning tools free of grit.
If your glass has a protective coating, use the coating manufacturer's care instructions. A coating does not mean maintenance-free glass.
Keep cleaning gentle
Use the cleaning products approved for your glass, hardware finish, seals and surrounding stone or tile. FHC recommends clean water and a soft cloth for routine hardware care, with a mild, non-abrasive liquid soap when needed. Rinse and dry rather than leaving residue on the finish.
Avoid abrasive pads, powders and sharp scrapers on finished hardware. Do not assume a descaler or acidic household cleaner is suitable for every metal finish, coating or natural stone. Check the product instructions before treating mineral deposits.
Let a new installation cure
Follow the installer’s stated wait time before using your shower. Sealant products and site conditions vary, so a general internet timetable should not replace the instructions for your installation. Avoid disturbing seals or freshly applied silicone during curing.
When to contact Horus
Contact us if a door begins dragging, a hinge becomes loose, a seal is damaged or water escapes in a new place. If the glass has a chip or crack, or the door appears unstable, stop using it and arrange a professional inspection. Do not adjust or loosen the hardware yourself.
A front photo and a close-up of the affected area can help us understand the issue. Include your project number if available, but avoid putting yourself near unstable glass to take a picture.
Keep your installation details
Save your approved design, hardware model and finish, any coating information and the care instructions provided with the project. These make future maintenance and replacement discussions much easier.
